Why focus on protein?

Protein is a repair and rebuild nutrient. It repairs and rebuilds our skin’s tissues, including hair, skin, nails…and muscle! Since we lose around 3-5% of our muscle mass as we age, it’s imperative we not only train by lifting weights (creating microtears in the muscle fibers) but also that we eat adequate protein to bring those muscle fibers back together, making them stronger and rebuilt.

We recommend 0.7 grams of protein per lb of ideal bodyweight most days of the week.
