I read this quote the other day: “Cell phones bring you closer to a person far from you, but they take you farther away from the person sitting next to you.”
Do you ever find yourself distracted by your cell phone (like, all the time)? Not really tuned in to what’s happening right in front of you?
Our phones can be helpful in so many ways and we realize you’re probably reading this on your phone right now! (thank you, btw!) 🙂
But how can we use it for the good and lessen our use other times? When we spend time staring at our phone screen, we’re missing out. I know it can be addicting to keep scrolling mindlessly…I struggle with this myself.
So, here’s what I challenge you to do: At some point TODAY, go outside and look around, take a slow deep breath, and disconnect from your phone. You’ll be amazed at how less stressed and more rejuvenated you’ll feel!
Are you up for a mini-challenge the rest of this week to be more intentional about putting your phone away? Out of sight as much as possible?
Click below and let us know so we can cheer you on!
We can’t wait to see if you experience less stress and more presence right where you are.
Have an (even more) awesome day!

I was able to disconnect last week and visit the “sandburgs” (is that what they’re called or did I just invent a term?) at Rosy Mound in Grand Haven. How cool are these?! Being outside in nature is a scientifically-backed way to de-stress.
