Just when Spring seemed to be blossoming, ‘ol blustery Winter appears to be rolling back into West Michigan, calling for more blankets, sweaters, cozy nights, comfort foods and warm drinks. Instead of reaching for that second or third or fourth cup of coffee in the morning or hot toddy or glass of wine at night, we challenge you to try one of these two warming Wellness Drinks to satisfy and nourish. We hope you love them as much as we do!
Apple Cider Vinegar Spiced Tea
Hot water + a splash of apple cider vinegar* + a few generous dashes of cinnamon + drizzle of raw honey + lemon slice = comfy and cleansing perfection.
*we suggest the brand ‘Bragg’ apple cider vinegar since it’s unrefined, unpasteurized and unfiltered ACV with the ‘mother’. The “mother” is a colony of beneficial bacteria – great for good gut health, the home of your immune system!
Warm on stovetop in saucepan: 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk + a few generous dashes of cinnamon + a few shakes or pinches of turmeric + stevia or sweetner of choice (honey, agave, etc), to taste + stir and top with even mo’ cinnamon = like a earthy, soul-warming latte.
